December 2009 -
Douglas County Commissioners, Lynn Williamson of the WCFOC’s Board of Directors, Mike Golden of MW Golden Constructors, and Executive Director, Jennifer Walker, proudly “cut the ribbon” at our new Emergency Shelter for victims of domestic violence.
While there are still a few touch-ups to complete, and additional beds and furniture to buy, the WCFOC has started moving families into our new facility. We project to be at full capacity by April 1, 2010.
Fundraising continues in full force. In order to receive pending foundation grants, the WCFOC has to raise $110,000 before March 1, 2010 and complete this $2.3M project.
